Trivia

Did you know that Michael was the number-one name for boys in the U.S. every year from 1964 until 1998?

During the same period of time, the top name for girls went through Lisa, Jennifer, Jessica, Ashley, and Emily.

I'm a name geek, in case you hadn't noticed.

Actually, I was quite familiar with this piece of trivia, for obvious reasons. :-)

Considering I dated two Michaels who were born during that time frame, no this does not surprise me.

My folks thought they were picking a less-than-common name when they named me "Christopher." They were just slightly ahead of the trend, and I was just slightly ahead of the tsunami of Christophers that followed.

Happy Birthday!
