Genre of book: Military science fiction, anthology

Grade: C+

I think the time of book reviews has ended, here in Nayadica: The Blog! But for those three of you who like to know what books I'm reading, I'll post notes so that you can at least get the titles and look them up, and so that I can keep track of what I've read. After this one, I'll probably wait and list a few at a time, with a grade for each.

I think I'm just not cut out for MilSciFi. I've tried several authors (granted, most of them in the Baen pool) and while I can enjoy a book here and a book there, I'm not left at the end of any such novel thinking, "I have got to get more of these!"

This sets me apart from half the people I know, sadly.

There's no reason to read them if you don't wanna. I like ones that have some depth, especially if they're heavy on the science fiction worldbuilding, with the military stuff as part of a fully-realized story. Most of them are shallower than that, imo.
