my deal with myself, re: books

my enthusiasm for book-shopping has led to a bit of a pile-up. as of today i have 115 books waiting for me to either read entirely, or to finish reading. if stacking one's books into a single column would be a physical hazard (or impossibility), i believe that steps should be taken to resolve the problem. knowing myself, i think that attempting to stop buying books until these are read would be an impossible standard, so the new rule is that i'm allowed to buy one book for every three on the "to-read" shelves that i read in their entirety. this may result in me reading the shortest books first until the shakes subside, but the rule did not specify the length of the books, did it? ;)
