O Great Livejournal Mind: A question

What's the name of that short story where the man jumps into alternate versions of his own life every time he adjusts his radio? And who wrote it?

Kthxbye.

That sounds like a cool story. I'd like to know too.

Good point! I'll do that if the LJ Mind doesn't cough up the answer by tomorrow.

Did this get made into a movie? I've seen a movie that sounds pretty much like this - Frequency starring Dennis Quaid. IMDB says written by Toby Emmerich, but that could be screenplay. We really liked the movie.

No, that movie (though good) is not the same as the story I'm talking about.

I don't suppose it's _The Hemingway Hoax_ by Joe Haldeman? I don't remember anything about a radio and you probably would have mentioned the fact that it was about Hemingway, but anyway, at least it does involve switching to alternate timelines!

No, but that sounds good! I would remember a story being about Hemingway, for sure.
