2008 Books #5: How to Write Fast (While Writing Well), by David Fryxell

I can't say that reading this book enthralled me, and I'm pretty sure that it didn't change my life, but it had good points:

(+) Great chapter on research that's worth the price for the entire book, IMO--lots of information about library resources.

(+) The author encourages planning and outlining before writing.

(+) Good tips on proper time management and preparation for writing.

(-/+) Most of the advice is more useful for non-fiction writers than fiction, IMO. There's one chapter specifically about writing fiction, and there are some that are good for all writers, like the one on becoming better at completing projects. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to write articles for a living; other fiction-writers might find the advice more helpful than I did, too.
