Publication and conventions ahead!

I'm leaving for NorwesCon this Thursday evening. It's my first convention of the year, and I'm all kinds of looking forward to it. I had a great time there last year. Many of the people responsible for that great time will be there again, as well as some people I've met since, and others I'll get to meet for the first time in person. I love that. :)

I'll have a few days in Portland after the con, which I expect will be thoroughly enjoyable, and then after my return I'll have a week of normal life before OddCon, where I'll be on a couple of panels this time. I'm moderating the panel about networking at conventions, and participating in one about submitting short stories, and I'll post the details about that before the big day.

And now... I can finally announce that a short story of mine will appear in a military science fiction anthology! The book is Full-Throttle Space Tales #3: Space Grunts, edited by Dayton Ward (aka daytonward). The story is called "An Assessment of the Incident at Camp Righteous." Here's the list of stories, and the book info, in Dayton's LJ. You can click through there to see a larger version of the cover, and the back cover copy. I don't know the exact release date yet, but it should be soon!
