My WisCon Schedule

The Fiction of Ellen Klages
Track(s): Reading, Viewing, and Critiquing Science Fiction
Description: There are few authors whose works make us tear up and laugh out loud—but one can wind up doing both of those during just one of Ellen's stories. Let's talk more about her wonderful fiction.

Time: Sat 1:00 - 2:15PM
Location: Senate A
Panelists: M: Margaret McBride, Penny Hill, Nayad Monroe, Gary K. Wolfe

The Etiquette of Self Promotion
Track(s): The Craft and Business of Writing (The Craft and Business of Writing)
Description: As writers, we all know that we need to promote our work to see it sell. We network, we blog, we hold contests and we build websites. We also get boring and annoying (at best) when we don't know when to stop. What are some good and socially acceptable techniques for promoting your work? How you figure out when "some" becomes "too much?" What do you think is your most effective vehicle for self–promoting?

Time: Sun 8:30 - 9:45AM
Location: Wisconsin
Panelists: M: Nayad Monroe, Catherine Lundoff, ANONYMOUS

Otherwise, I'll be around during the day on Saturday and Sunday, most likely either in the audience for writing-oriented panels, or in the dealers' room, gazing upon the shinies.
